Tolosa Jacket II
Tolosa Jacket: The Legacy of the Summit Expedition
The Tolosa Jacket is the culmination of 20 years of history, evolving with mountaineering. Despite its artisanal production, we use cutting-edge technology to ensure excellence. The box-wall construction prevents “cold seams,” guaranteeing a continuous thermal barrier. The 700 Fill Power down filling is precisely measured, and the articulation at the elbows and armpits, together with the Velcro cuff adjustment, allow total freedom of movement and seal in the heat.
Its design is inspired by the highest peaks, with a 40 Denier Drytex Ripstop exterior (10,000mmH2O/8,000g/m2/24hrs) and a 20 Denier Nylon taffeta interior (25g/m2). Details such as the integrated helmet-compatible hood with a down baffle, double-layer down pockets, and bottom adjustment minimize heat loss.
Designed for elite mountaineers and polar explorers, the Tolosa Jacket is the ideal companion for technical ascents and traverses in Antarctic climates.

Down
Experience unmatched warmth and lightness with our exceptional down insulation. With a Fill Power of 700, our down exceeds the most demanding industry standards, ensuring superior volume and insulation.
The secret lies in its ingenious physics: down fibers trap air bubbles, and the greater their expansion, the greater their insulating effectiveness. Remarkably, our down can be compressed to 300 times its original volume, resulting in incredibly warm, incredibly lightweight garments designed to last.
To complement this premium down, we use ultra-lightweight fabrics such as 20-denier nylon taffeta, weighing just 40 g/m². This combination creates garments that are not only exceptionally warm, but also incredibly lightweight and easy to pack.
Care
- Due to its characteristics, natural down retains moisture inside and requires a specific method to release it and restore its volume.
- To return your jacket to its original condition, it is necessary to follow the correct drying procedure. We detail it below:
- 1. Use a dryer: This step is essential. The jacket must be placed in a clothes dryer.
- 2. Add tumbling aids: Along with the garment, add 2 or 3 clean tennis balls or dryer balls. This step is essential.
- 3. Set the dryer to a low temperature: Use the dryer on short cycles (20-30 minutes) and at the lowest possible temperature. The constant beating of the balls breaks up the clumps of wet feathers, allowing hot air to circulate and separate them, restoring the garment's original volume and fluffiness (the “loft”).
- 4. Check and repeat: It is important to take the jacket out between cycles, shake it vigorously, and check that the feathers are distributing evenly. This process should be repeated as many times as necessary until there is absolutely no moisture left inside and the jacket is evenly “inflated.”
